The first extensive revision was launched on May 1, 2001. Some of the revisions include:

• A completely new structure and navigation scheme, designed to make it very easy for people to find and use exactly what they need

• All the original online forms where removed and replaced with printed forms that work with Adobe Acrobat - and a small set of simple, quick online forms were added

• The database was revised to include:

  • the ability to link multiple production companies to each documentary listing

  • a logical IDLS ID Number scheme 

  • information about TV and Radio networks, so that people can find broadcast information by searching at the network level
