Activities underway

As of April 1, 2002

IDLS is currently working on the following projects:

• Marketing the site to grow our base of members and listings
• Adding the first 5,000 listings to the database.
• Grant writing to secure financial support.

Future activities will include:

• Enhancing the web site and database to improve usability and performance.
• Adding new features to the site:
  • "Documentary in context" - a series of articles about documentary as an art form and industry
  • "Spotlight On" feature section with articles on IDLS members and and their work
  • "Documentary History", and interactive section, connecting information about the history of documentary to the contents of the database
• Forming an Advisory Board.
• Translating parts of the service into other languages.
• Activating secure, password protected members-only areas.
